resin-sealed EMI filters

Spectrum Control Inc. offers RoHS/lead-free versions of its resin-sealed bolt-in EMI filters. These filters are suitable for applications where solder is undesirable. Typical applications include motor and industrial controls, military avionics, secure communications, medical equipment, microwave and telecommunications.

These filters are available in a wide range of sizes from 4-40 thread to 5/16-24 thread, and multiple circuit configurations including C, L and Pi. They provide voltage ratings up to 500Vdc/220Vac. Metric threaded resin-sealed filter options are also available.

All resin-sealed filter components can be built in accordance with Mil-PRF-15733 and Mil-PRF-28861. The company provides reliability screening to Mil-PRF-15733 and Mil-PRF-28861 Class B Group C, as well as "R" level screening. These RoHS-compliant filters are drop-in replacements for standard designs.

The resin-sealed filters are easily mounted in a tapped hole or through-hole with the supplied nut and lock washer. The rugged case with resin seals at both ends is said to provide excellent environmental protection. Custom and value-added designs are available.

Prices for the resin-sealed filters range from $1.00 to $20.00, depending on screening, electrical package and quantity. Delivery is from stock to eight weeks.
