National Semiconductor Corp. has introduced the LMH6321, a high-speed, 30V buffer amplifier for industrial, medical, and test and measurement applications.
According to the company, the unity-gain buffer delivers 300mA of continuous output current and is stable under any capacitive load when driven by a 50-ohm source. It operates with a 30V supply voltage, providing the maximum possible dynamic range at the output. This wide dynamic range is important for applications requiring a large output swing, such as semiconductor automatic test equipment, the company explained.
Other key features of the device include small signal bandwidth of 110MHz while driving a 50-ohm load; continuously adjustable current limit from 10mA to 300mA with 15mA and 15 percent accuracy provides extremely fine control of current settings; 1,800V/s slew rate; thermal shutdown protection to prevent overheating; error flag to signal a fault condition; thermally enhanced TO-263 and PSOP-8 packages to help with heat dissipation; and, guaranteed performance from -400C to 1250C.
The LMH6321 is already available and priced at $3.43 in 1,000-unit quantities. Pb-free package options are available.
