NCT's ClearSpeech hardware module

Noise Cancellation Technologies Ltd (NCT) has released a hardware module for engineers looking to remove noise and echo from embedded communication systems. The ClearSpeech Module targets applications including wireless systems, intercom systems, VoIP and voice recording.

The ClearSpeech Module is a fixed-point dual-channel platform based on the ADSP2186 DSP and AD1819 codec. It is supplied with in-line connectors and mounting holes. In its minimum configuration, the module requires only a regulated 5V power supply and line-level audio inputs and outputs. However, the module also provides I/O that can trigger LEDs or be used to set various software parameters.

The module comes with a copy of NCT's ClearSpeech software installed. Three standard versions of ClearSpeech are available: Noise and Echo Cancellation for cellular and Internet telephony, conference phone and intercom applications; Referenced Noise Filter and Noise Cancellation for siren or alarm cancellation, surveillance and voice control of audio systems; and, Noise Cancellation, a 5-stage band pass filter and an Intelligent Squelch Filter for radio communication systems.
