EAO Switch Corp. has added blue and white LED illumination options to its Series 84 pushbutton switches. These options are in addition to single- or multichip LEDs in red, yellow and green.

The low-profile, flush-mount illuminated Series 84 pushbutton switches are available in either aluminum or plastic bezels and in a standard 22.5mm cutout. A double-blade, slow-make switching system ensures tactile operation and guarantees reliable switching, including for light loads. With a maximum rating of 42Vac/dc, 100mA, these switches are suitable for PLC level signals. These switches are rated for IP67 protection.

A minimum low back panel depth (2mm from the front), and ergonomic design make the Series 84 switches suitable for contemporary control panel designs where space is restricted. The illuminated pushbuttons can be connected by either 300mm ribbon cable or plug-in terminals. This enables the pushbuttons to be safely adapted to PCBs of different heights.

Standard Series 84 illuminated switches and indicators, sealed to IP67 standards, are priced at less than $15 per unit in small quantities. These units are available from stock in a variety of colors and voltages.
