The FTTH solution has been selected by Korea Telecom (KT) for volume deployment in Korea's FTTH network rollout, which will deliver triple-play servicesvoice, data and IPTVto its subscriber base. KT is expected to begin volume deployments in Q3.

Dasan will supply optical network unit (ONU) FTTH equipment for consumers in customer premise equipment (CPE) and optical line terminal (OLT) FTTH equipment for central office equipment. Dasan's ONU CPE systems use PMC-Sierra's third-generation PAS6201 ONU device powered by PMC-Sierra's GigaPASS FTTH architecture. Meanwhile, Dasan's OLT systems use PMC-Sierra's PAS5001 OLT device.
