Spectrum Control Inc., a manufacturer of electronic control products and systems, recently announced that it has acquired all of the outstanding common stock of Advanced Thermal Products Inc. (ATP). Based in Pennsylvania, United States, ATP designs and manufactures custom temperature sensors. The total purchase price of the acquisition was $9.3 million.

Spectrum Control President and CEO Dick Southworth said that this acquisition continues their "strategic plan" of product expansion and market diversification.

"Combined with our acquisition last October of JDK Controls Inc., the addition of ATP strengthens and expands our recently created sensors and controls business segment," Southworth said. "And based on current market conditions and customer order rates, we expect ATP product sales to be approximately $8 million during the next twelve months."

ATP manufactures a broad line of custom products, including temperature sensing probes and assemblies, positive and negative temperature coefficient thermistors, and resistance temperature detectors sensors and related assemblies.
