2A Zero Recovery rectifier

Cree Inc. has developed a 2A Zero Recovery rectifier operating at 600V specifically to meet the increasing need to reduce costs and increase efficiency in power supplies designed for desktop PCs. The 2A Schottky diode expands Cree's Zero Recovery product line, which already includes 1-, 4-, 6-, 10- and 20A diodes.

Compared with traditional silicon-based diodes, Cree's SiC-based Zero Recovery rectifiers are said to simplify power factor correction boost design by eliminating the need for snubbers, reduce component count and reduce power losses, which results in cooler operating temperatures and significantly less EMI.

The CSD02060A (TO-220) is priced at less than $1 each in production quantities. Samples of the 2A, 600V diodes are already available.
