Omron Electronic Components LLC offers the G5LE-E series of power PCB relays that switch 16A at 250Vac in an industry-standard "sugar cube" size package (19.6-by-22.5-by-15.2mm), which make them drop-in replacements on existing PCB layouts.

The G5LE-E relay coils are available in 5-, 12- and 24Vdc versions. The impulse withstand voltage is 4.5kV for 1.2 x 50s. The relays feature a low power consumption of 360mW and an extended temperature class F insulation system. Available in SPST-NO or SPDT contact configurations, these relays are capable of switching digital signals for applications such as HVAC, consumer and commercial appliances.

The G5LE-E relays operate in a temperature range of -40C to 85C, and provide an electrical life of 50,000 operations minimum. The relays can also operate in a temperature range of -40C to 105C with a 12A load and are UL508, CSA22.2, and EN61810-1 UL rated. The relays are flux sealed and RoHS compliant.

Omron also offers a power relay that is designed specifically to control high inrush currents to fluorescent or incandescent lamps in emergency lighting systems and appliance control applications, and G5LB and G5LB-25 power PCB relays in smaller package sizes.

Pricing for the G5LE-E relays is 75-85 cents in quantities of 5,000. Delivery is from stock to eight weeks.
