MGE UPS Systems' PMM power meter

MGE UPS Systems' addition to its family of PMM power meters, the PMM800, offers enhanced monitoring and communications features, including access to information on real-time trends, averages and demand metering to allow designers to better allocate equipment, balance loads, plan for future growth and develop programs to reduce energy costs.

The power meter's advanced capabilities, facilitated via a menu-driven display, include measuring of three phases, plus neutral, for current or voltage at the same time. There's increased alarm flexibility?alarm and relay functions are setpoint-controlled. The PMM800 provides true RMS metering of voltage and current in real time, and calculates power factor, real power and reactive power. The display operation is intuitive; a large, backlit LCD display allows users to quickly and easily read and navigate through the menus.

Available with a variety of interface options including RS-485, RS-232 or Ethernet and communications protocols such as MODBUS or JBUS, the PMM800, designed for use with the company's Power Management Module (PMM) and remote Power Management Module (RPMM) for applications from 30kVA to 300kVA, can be configured for integration into any power monitoring and control system.

The list price for the power meter is $1,300.
