10W DC/DC converters target telecom, embedded apps

Astrodyne's open-frame 5-, 7- and 10W DC/DC (isolated) converters, in the company's ASDH series, are designed specifically for telecom and embedded system applications.

The ASDH Series comprises 48 single- and dual-output models that provide 3-15V from 9-36Vdc or 18-75Vdc input. These open-frame supplies feature an integral finned heatsink that facilitates operation over -25°C to 71°C without additional forced air cooling or power derating. All models provide over-voltage and continuous short-circuit protection and contain an input pi filter that eliminates the need for additional external components. Typical operating efficiency is 82 percent.

Other standard features include an output inhibit/control pin for remote on/off control. The 1-by-2-by-0.375inch products have a standard pin-out for convenient PCB mounting in new and existing applications. They are fully approved to EN60950 and UL60950-1 SELV safety standards.
