Tektronix expands differential oscilloscope probe line

Tektronix differential oscilloscope

Tektronix Inc. is extending its existing Z-Active family of differential oscilloscope probes with the immediate availability of its 6GHz P7360 Active Differential Probe. The P7360 is a continuation of the company's Z-Active architecture for digital design work.

Existing Z-Active probes include the 8GHz P7380 and the 12.5GHz P7313. These are suitable for probing high-speed signals and serial data at rates from 1.5Gbps to 3.125Gbps.

The latest P7360 brings Z-Active benefits down to lower-priced performance levels. It also delivers signal fidelity while offering the highest input impedance in its class. Tek also claims the P7360 has the lowest AC loading, out to the bandwidth of the probe.

The probes also use Tek's Tip-Clip assemblies. Tip-Clip is an interchangeable probe tip system that lets you configure the probe with the optimal tip for your application. These detachable assemblies also let you replace a tip, and do that for a fraction of the cost formerly associated with such hardware changes.

Several lengths, and variable spacing of the assemblies, also provide flexibility for adapting to vias and test points of differing sizes. Tip-Clip lets you readily switch between solder, handheld and fixtured probing applications.
