DC/DC converter delivers 43A for 9.6V bus apps

Touting its high usable output current, SynQor's BQ55090QPA40 quarter-brick DC/DC converter, an addition to the company's BusQor family, delivers up to 43A at 6.5-11V for nominal 9.6V intermediate bus applications.

The unregulated, 5:1 (nominal 35-55V input) quarter-brick module, with an efficiency of up to 97 percent, delivers 43A at 55°C for just 100LFM (0.5m/s) of airflow. Multiple open-frame units can be readily scaled (directly paralleled) to create higher power solutions. Features include an input-to-output isolation of 2kV, under-voltage lockout, output current-limiting, short-circuit protection and thermal shutdown. It's rated for operation over -40°C to 100°C. The unit is fully RoHS-compliant.

The modules are priced at $63.20 each in OEM quantities. Sample and production quantities are available immediately with a stock to 8-week lead-time.
