New wedge-based LEDs from JKL Components

Available in 12V and 24V versions, the new wedge-based LEDs from JKL Components Corp. are offered in T 1-3/4 (series LE-0504) and T-3-3/4 (series LE-0503) sizes.

The new LEDs are available in a variety of colors, including bright white, amber, red, blue, green and ultraviolet. These devices are suitable for applications that require a reduction in maintenance and energy costs, as well as applications where high shock and lamp durability are factors, said the company.

In applications that currently use incandescent lamps, a switch to solid-state LED technology offers many cost benefits, said the company. The wedge-based LEDs are not subject to breaking and other failure modes associated with incandescent filament lamps, and maintenance costs are minimized by eliminating the need for continued replacement.

The LED replacement wedge-based lamps are suitable for harsh environments including automotive, avionics and marine as well as for aging equipment that requires efficient, long-life lighting technologies. The LEDs offer life times of up to 100,000hrs.

Pricing starts at 29 cents in production quantities.
