Mechanical line cords can be customized

Tyco Electronics offers a line of custom mechanical line cords to meet specific customer power application requirements. These specialty cables are made to customer specifications and are intended to provide power for servers, mass storage devices, and other similar applications.

These cable assemblies are generally rated from 10A to 60A and up to 300V. These rugged assemblies can be provided with "make-first, break-last" contact arrangement for safety requirements.

Pricing ranges from $15 in high volume to over $150 per cable in low volume, depending on cable type and gage, connector type, cable length, order volume and customer test requirements.
