Crystek Corp. recently unveiled a 622.08MHz voltage controlled SAW oscillator (VCSO) Model CVS575Cthat is designed for high performance PLLs and said to be suitable for telecommunications applications with low jitter generation requirements.
The Pb-free, RoHS-compliant CVS575 comes in a 5-by-7.5-by-2.5mm SMD package and operates over the -45C to 85C temperature range from a 3.3V power supply. Outputs are complementary LVPECL. The enable/disable function is designed for use with CMOS logic levels for ease of interfacing, Crystek said, eliminating the need to convert to LVPECL logic to turn the output on and off.
Applications include frequency translation, clock smoothing (de-jittering), SONET/SDH/ATM Networks, OC-192 and test and measurement.
Price is approximately $45 each in small volumes for the commercial temperature range model.
