Claims of alleged violations of Taiwan's fair trade law and defamation of AsusTek Computer Inc. (Asus) against O2Micro were dismissed after the Taiwan High Court affirmed the Taipei District Court's prior judgment.

Asus sought permanent injunction against O2Micro from interfering with Asus' use of non-O2Micro cold cathode fluorescent lamp driver controllers, other than Monolithic Power Systems Inc.'s (MPS) MP 1015 and MP 1011A.

O2Micro's patent infringement actions against MPS and Asus in the Taiwan Taipei District Court and the United States District Court remain pending. Meanwhile, preliminary injunction granted by Taiwan Shihlin District Court against Asus from using MP 1015 and MP 1011A remains in effect.
