Excelpoint Systems Hong Kong Ltd is beefing up its Hong Kong presence to position its further growth in mainland China. The company moved its Hong Kong headquarters to Tsim Sha Tsui, and revamped its entire IT infrastructure to increase overall efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Greater China executives from leaders in the electronics sector recently joined Excelpoint to celebrate the opening of its new headquarters, which is double the size of the company's previous premises.

"Geographically, the North Asian market, comprising China and Hong Kong, is the main contributor to the group's business," said Albert Phuay Yong Hen, founder, chairman and group CEO of parent company Excelpoint Technology Ltd. "It accounted for almost 56 percent of our total revenues in fiscal 2005approximately $252 millionwith the balance coming from Singapore and other countries in the Asia Pacific region. And the opportunities for growth continue in the sectors in which we specialize, such as Bluetooth-enabled devices, GSM handsets and LCD TVs."

Operating in China for 10 years, Phuay said that he sees Excelpoint Systems as a young, energetic company with an Asian-based electronics edge able to offer total engineering solutions.

David Kok, COO of Excelpoint Systems, said that they maintain excellent relationships with their principals as well as with their mainland China customers.

"Since China represents such an important market for us, we felt that it was time to streamline our operations and increase customer satisfaction by implementing SAP," Kok added.

SAP is implemented to bring efficiencies into supply chain and to improve financial management and inventory control. The system will go live in Hong Kong this month, shared Kok.

In addition to its PRC headquarters and a nearly 2,000m? warehouse in Hong Kong, Excelpoint has offices in Beijing, Chengdu, Nanjing, Qingdao, Shenzhen, Shanghai, Xiamen and Xian, as well as two R&D centers in mainland China. The company's clients come from different markets, including cellphones, Bluetooth headsets and LCD TVs.

Excelpoint Systems provides various services ranging from electronic components and ICs to design as well as development services and memory modules and communication products. The company caters to telecommunications networking, consumer electronics, industrial and instrumentation electronics, automotive, and computers and computer peripherals industries.
