SMK's push-type speaker terminal

SMK has developed a push-type speaker terminal that accepts banana terminals used to connect speakers to home theater systems and A/V receivers.

This product is said to be the first simple push-type terminal to support both banana terminals and direct cable connection. Its patent-pending terminal structure enables connection via banana plugs, known for established high quality tone, as well as conventional cable connection, providing users with a choice of connection.

The device also uses another patent-pending structure for usable cable sizes from AWG 15 to 22. Use of thicker gauge cables rather than conventional ones will satisfy users who demand higher quality tone and higher grade products.

PWBs and panels for this terminal can be designed to be compatible with those for SMK's YS series screw terminals. Products intended for the European market are also available.

This RoHS-compliant device has 2, 4, 6 or 8 poles horizontal. It is already available with pricing starting at $2.54 each for the 8-pole unit.
