AnalogicTech, Siliconix settle patent lawsuit

Power management semiconductor supplier Advanced Analogic Technologies Inc. (AnalogicTech) and Siliconix, a subsidiary of Vishay Intertechnology Inc. settled the patent infringement lawsuit brought by Siliconix in the U. S. district court of the Northern District of California. The lawsuit, filed in January 2004, related to alleged infringement of three U.S. patents pertaining to trench double-diffused metal oxide semiconductor (DMOS) technology.
Under the terms of the settlement, details of which remain confidential, the companies agreed to dismiss all claims and counterclaims in the litigation. Both companies will continue marketing their respective trench DMOS product lines. The settlement will have no material impact on both AnalogicTech and Siliconix.
