Catalyst intros open-drain output voltage supervisor, detector

Catalyst Semiconductor Inc. has expanded its line of industry-standard voltage supervisors with the addition of two open-drain output devices. The CAT803 voltage supervisor and the CAT808 voltage detector provide an open-drain output, active low function. CAT803 has a reset timeout with 140ms guaranteed reset period while CAT808 has no reset timeout.

The CAT803 is available in standard threshold levels ranging from 2.32V to 4.63V and is the drop-in replacement for MAX803. Whereas, CAT808 is available in 2.7V and 3.2V threshold levels and is pin-for-pin compatible with S-808 voltage detector.

The power supply current for CAT803 extends to 6?A and for CAT808 extends to 2.4?A.

Pricing for 10,000-piece quantities of the CAT803 and the CAT808 is 20 cents each. Samples are available today. Projected lead-times for production quantities are currently six to eight weeks ARO.
