EDA panel to discuss business in India

With the goal of providing an overview of the pitfalls and opportunities of doing business in India today, the EDA Consortium (EDAC) and Silicon Valley Bank are co-sponsoring a panel on "How to do business in India" on Nov. 28.

The panel includes speakers inside and outside the EDA industry. Each panelist will address a specific topic, and the presentations will be followed by a question and answer session. Panel moderator is Vic Kulkarni, president and CEO of Sequence Design, who has had experience running development and sales operations in India.

Nitin Deo, vice president of marketing and business development at Clear Shape Technologies, will speak on selling in India. Raj Dhesikan, director of engineering at Sanmina-SCI, will speak on offshoring technology. Aurangzeb Khan, corporate vice president of marketing at Cadence Design Systems, will speak on where to set up operations. And Suresh Shanmugham, senior vice president of SVB Global in India, will discuss leveraging financial and tax benefits.

The panel will be held on Nov. 28, 7:00 p.m. at the Silicon Valley Bank in Santa Clara, Calif. The panel is free to EDAC members and Silicon Valley Bank guests, and is $50 for non-EDAC members. Additional information is available at the EDAC website.
