OP205CL IR LED series from Optek

TT electronics Optek Technology has developed a collimated beam LED for long distance sensing and optical encoder applications. The OP205CL IR LED series features a narrow beam angle and a wide operating temperature range.

The OP205CL series consists of a high efficiency GaAlAs LED mounted in a TO-46 metal can package with long leads. The collimated beam LED features a narrow 10 beam angle and 34mm leads that eliminate the need for additional wires in most applications, said the company. The GaAIAs LED has a wavelength of 875nm, and an operating temperature range of -40C to 100C. Its package design and wide operating temperature range allows the OP205CL devices to be used in demanding and harsh environments.

Pricing for the OP205CL series of collimated beam LEDs is approximately $2.46 in quantities of 1,000. Delivery, if stock is not available, is six to eight weeks.
