Liquid-cooled AC/DC ups thermal efficiency

The LCPM series of 7kW AC/DC front-end rectifiers from Transistor Devices is liquid-cooled for maximum thermal efficiency in data and computer centers.

Up to six modules, each 12-by-2.8-by-18 inches (HWD) can fit side by side on a 17.5-inch shelf to deliver up to 42kW of regulated power from the 3-phase universal power mains (195-265Vac, 47-63 cycles). Efficiency is greater than 90 percent and the power factor is better than 0.99.

The modules are typically cooled with water or a water ethyl glycol mixture, which enters and leaves the module via a blind mated pluggable liquid coupling. The unit is available with either aluminum or copper piping to assure no incompatibility of metals.
