Board supplier Adlink Technology launches a half-size single-board computer (SBC) running an AMD Geode GX 533 processor, supported by the Geode CS5535 chipset. Adlink's fanless NuPRO-796 SBC dissipates 1.1W of CPU power. It's a PCI v2.2-complaint PCI bus SBC.

The NuPRO-796 comes with an on-board 128Mbyte DDR266 memory on a single SO-DIMM slot, one UltraATA 66 IDE connector, and four serial ATA connectors with RAID support. There's also a 200-pin socket for additional (up to 512Mbytes) of DDR266 SO-DIMM.

Offering several display options, the NuPRO-796 supports VGA/CRT monitors (1600 x 1200-pixel 16bpp at 85Hz, or 1280 x 1024-pixel 24bpp at 85-Hz). It can also drive TFT LCDs (1280 x 1024-pixels 24bpp), and a dual-channel LVDS port.

Key I/O interfaces include an ACPI-compliant 10/100Base-T Ethernet port, and four USB 1.1 ports. The SBC also packs AC97 audio and a watchdog timer.

The NuPRO-796 is compatible with the firm's compact, wall-mount RK-604A chassis and the 6-slot RK-606FC chassis.

The NuPRO-796 is priced starting at $390 and is available with discounts in volume.
