CPCIe carrier board from One Stop Systems

Board maker One Stop Systems has announced a 6U-sized CompactPCIe (CPCIe) carrier board that allows the use of a PCIe I/O board in a CPCIe system. Users can therefore tap the growing supply of PCIe I/O boards available from various vendors.

As a Type 2 board, One Stop's product supports a PCIe short card, usually in PCIe x8, x4 and x1 lane configurations.

The carrier board is equipped with a PCIe x16 connector, but communicates at x4 speeds. Most PCIe boards, though rated at x16 or x8, will train down to x4 or x1 speeds. This lets the carrier board be used universally, as long as it fits into the short card form-factor.

One Stop also offers an extensive line of enclosures, backplanes, SBCs, IO boards and system monitors. These include enterprise-class and carrier-class products and convection and conduction cooled equipment. Its standard products are also used to produce semi-custom products.

The company also offers quick-turn prototyping and on-time production of custom systems.

One Stop Systems' 6U CPCIe board is priced at $575 and is available immediately.
