Embedded system vendor Logic Supply Inc., announced its SolidLogic GS-L05 fanless Mini-ITX computer system.
Measuring 7.4-by-7.2-by-3-inch in size, the GS-L05 is completely solid-state and compatible with a wide range of Intel-based and VIA Technologies-based Mini-ITX form-factor motherboards, or mainboards. The GS-L05 leverages Mini-ITX's ability to be passively cooled.
You can choose a board with the functions, performance, and speed you require and marry it with this case to create a compact fanless system for a range of embedded and industrial applications.
Passive cooling
The GS-L05 uses heat pipes and heatsinks for passive cooling. The approach eliminates reliability concerns that cases using fans can present in harsh, hostile, or remote environments.
In this product, heat-dissipating aluminum is used to create a protective enclosure with black-box looks. The enclosure includes mounting brackets. Overall, you get set-it-and-forget-it reliability.
According to Logic Supply, its system also offers a price/performance advantage over other form-factors for embedded applications. Pricing, depending on system configuration, starts at about $500 and extends to roughly $1,500.
