Bliley Technologies Inc. has introduced its TV79B temperature-compensated, voltage-controlled crystal oscillator (TCVCXO) in a low-profile DIP package for communications applications including cellular base stations and telephony equipment as well as test and other electronic equipment.

"Many electronic equipment designers seek to reduce the cost of current platforms without changing their existing board designs. Bliley's new TV79B TCVCXO provides a drop-in compatible replacement, plus the added benefits of high performance, frequency stability and low-profile package options," said Greg Rogers, VP of engineering at Bliley, in a statement.

Available in a frequency range of 0.625MHz to 52MHz, the TV79B TCVCXO offers 0.28ppm frequency stability over temperature and 4.6ppm frequency stability over all conditions (20yrs of aging). The TCVCXO also provides an optional voltage-controlled frequency tuning and 3.3-, 5.0-, 12.0- or 15V supply options. The standard DIP package comes with several standard height options including 0.3-inch. The operating temperature range is -40C to 85C. The device is RoHS compliant.

Pricing depends on specifications but typically starts at approximately $5. Delivery is from stock to eight weeks, depending on specifications.
