eInfochips expands presence in India

eInfochips Inc. a provider of ASIC design services, embedded systems solutions and IP cores, announced its fourth design center in Ahmedabad, India.

Occupying over 930m? and housing more than 140 engineers, the new design center will focus on complex chip design and verification, and product design services for consumer multimedia applications.

eInfochips currently has three design centers in Ahmedabad and two in Pune, India, with over 600 engineers. The company is targeting a turnover of over $15 million in the financial year 2006-2007 at 50 percent growth rate.

"We are witnessing unprecedented growth in design services market," said eInfochips CEO Pratul Shroff. "Our endeavor is to continuously seek new ways to add value and benefits to our customers. We are in the process of expanding our operations worldwide and are simultaneously strengthening our home base by adding 300 more engineers in the current year."
