IAR YellowSuite promises streamlined workflow

IAR Systems has announced the launch of IAR YellowSuite, the new brand identity for its family of advanced embedded design tools and middleware. With the tight integration of visualSTATE into the IAR Embedded Workbench IDE, along with the recently introduced IAR PowerPac RTOS and file system, IAR YellowSuite offers a streamlined workflow with seamless integration between all the modules, accessed through the familiar integrated development environment.

Purpose-designed suite
IAR YellowSuite is not just a set of tools, but a purpose-designed suite that promotes the most natural design flow—building in efficiency, code integrity and flexibility right from the beginning of a design project. Just as importantly, all the components in the suite are designed to work optimally together to produce the perfect result. The tools operate on an open systems basis, allowing the user the freedom to choose the additional development tools they need, whether from IAR Systems or from other vendors.

At the heart of IAR YellowSuite is IAR Embedded Workbench, the company's flagship C/C++ compiler, which is available for all popular MCU targets. Integral to IAR Embedded Workbench is the C-SPY debug tool, for testing of code using either a simulator or a hardware debug probe such as IAR J-Link or IAR J-Trace.

Easy implementation
Using the combination of visualSTATE and IAR PowerPac with IAR Embedded Workbench allows the developer to increase the feature richness and code quality of an application while reducing implementation complexity and improving maintainability.
