Interface Concept unveiled a CompactPCI/6U board, the IC-xe6-cPCIb, powered by one or two Freescale's 1.4GHz MPC7448 PowerPCI processors. This single or dual PICMG2.16-compliant processor SBC is aimed for use in defense, aeronautics, transportation and medical fields.

To complete the processor, the board implements the MV64460, a Marvell DiscoveryIII chipset. This chip provides data streaming on MPX bus, read-memory latency and cache coherency. The MV64460 adds 2Mbits of high-speed burst SRAM, two XOR DMA and four IDMA engines. The memory banks are made of up to 2Gbytes of DDR-ECC SDRAM, up to 256Mbyte mirror flash and up to 1Gbyte of soldered NAND flash. A quad UART provides four additional asynchronous channels available on P2 connector. The 64bit PCI/PCI-X bridge allows the IC-xe6-cPCIb to handle two PMC slots with PnIO routed to J3/J5.

The device is available today at $3,950.
