Sorry. There will be a slight delay in that Apple TV shipment.

Apple Inc. will move to mid-March the release of this device, which can wirelessly play iTunes content, including movies, TV shows, music, photos and podcasts, from both PC and Mac to widescreen TVs. The company originally planned to ship it February.

"Wrapping up Apple TV is taking a few weeks longer than we projected, and we now expect to begin shipments mid-March," said Lynn Fox, Apple spokeswoman.

The Apple TV was unveiled at Macworld in January. Steve Jobs, Apple CEO likened it to a DVD player, well sort of. "You connect it to your entertainment system just like a DVD player, but it plays digital content you get from the Internet rather than DVDs you get from a physical store. Apple TV plays the same iTunes content that users enjoy on their computers and iPods, so now they can even watch part of a movie in their living room, and watch the rest later on their iPod."

Meanwhile, Apple did not mention any changes in the Apple TV price. It will still sell for $299.
