Buffer amps cover 4-21GHz for PTP apps
Keywords:MMIC? buffer amplifiers? pHEMT? Mimix? microwave?
Mimix Broadband introduced two pHEMT monolithic microwave integrated circuit (MMIC) two-stage buffer amplifiers. The XB1007-BD and XB1008-BD cover 4-11GHz and 10-21GHz, respectively, and both devices deliver a +20dBm P1dB compression point and +30dBm OIP3. The XB1007-BD has a noise figure of 4.5dB and a small-signal gain of 23dB, while the XB1008-BD has a noise figure of 5.5dB and an 18dB small signal gain. Target applications include millimeter-wave point-to-point radio, local multipoint distribution services (LMDS), SATCOM and VSATs.
The XB1007-BD and XB1008-BD come in molded, plastic 3-by-3 QFN packages. The chips have surface passivation to protect and provide rugged parts with backside via holes and gold metallization to allow either a conductive epoxy or eutectic solder die-attach process.
