NEC LCD Technologies Ltd has launched four new TFT LCD modules featuring its proprietary super-transmissive natural light TFT (ST-NLT) technology that achieves display of vivid colors in environments with high ambient light. The product lineup comprises of a 38cm-diagonal XGA TFT LCD module (part number NL10276BC30-18C); a 31cm-diagonal XGA TFT LCD module (part number NL10276BC24-13C); and two 26cm-diagonal VGA TFT LCD modules (part numbers NL6448BC33-63C and NL6448BC33-64C).

These LCD modules support wide operating temperature ranges of either -10C to 70C or -20C to 70 C. These new and enhanced features make the new models suitable for installation in ATMs, automated ticket machines, automatic vending machines and POS systems for gas stations.

"The addition of these four new sophisticated models will boost NEC LCD Technologies' competitive edge in a market of ever-increasing and diversified needs," said Masaaki Hiroshima, product planning department manager, NEC LCD Technologies. "Our product lineup is now 9-models strong, ranging in size from 13.97cm to 30cm in six different sizes with QVGA and XGA resolutions, enabling us to provide a range of products to an even broader range of customers worldwide."

NEC LCD Technologies will begin shipping samples of these new silicon TFT LCD by end-April 2007.
