Agilent N9320A RF spectrum analyzer

Agilent Technologies Inc. has announced the availability of the N9320A, a low-cost spectrum analyzer featuring a measurement speed of 9.2ms at non-zero span, a DANL of -148dBm, 10Hz RBW, +13dBm TOI and ease-of-use.

Engineers and technicians need cost-effective instruments for various test applications to meet mounting cost-reduction pressures from the competition. The Agilent N9320A addresses this need by providing quick measurement with performance and enhanced usability packaged in a low-cost solution.

"The Agilent N9320A is designed to meet and exceed customers' expectations for an entry-level portable test solution, providing fast measurement speed and performance for its price," said Huo Feng, general manager of Agilent Chengdu instruments division. "The device's features will help customers maximize productivity and minimize cost."

Key features of the N9320A include:

? A 9.2ms sweep speed that saves measurement time, helps improve productivity and boosts throughput
? A -148dBm DANL with pre-amp that helps to detect low-level signals and determine the true characterization of devices;
? A 10Hz to 1MHz RBW that helps distinguish close signals and better understand the circuit
? A +13dBm TOI that helps reduce the effects of instrument distortion on the DUT

Enhanced usability features include:

? A clear, 6.5-inch TFT color with associated, easy-to-read soft keys helps users quickly read the test results;
? The GUI supports 11 languages;
? USB interfaces enable users to easily save data to the memory disk or remote control by PC, providing a fast and convenient way to update firmware;
? An auto tune key allows users to quickly to find the highest level signal, center it on the screen and adjust the span, which results in accurate, speedy measurements;
? The Power Suite provides one-button measurements such as channel power, OBW, TOI, SEM and ACP; shortens routine test setup time, ensures accuracy of setup and improves user's productivity;
? Four traces and 12 markers help to better analyze the signals and understand the circuit's performance; and,
? PC software replicates all controls and setup parameters of the front panel, providing useful and straightforward data-analysis tools.

Coupled with the previously launched N9310A RF signal generator, the N9320A spectrum analyzer is suitable for quality-conscious and cost-sensitive market segments, such as CE manufacturing, basic R&D, bench repair, education and installation and maintenance. This combination provides customers with a total solution, ensuring that design and production quality are not compromised while cost of test is reduced.

The N9320A is available worldwide, with prices starting at approximately $7,200.
