LEM S.A. added the HASS series to its current transducer families designed to operate from a single 5V power supply. The seven units offer current measurements from 50 to 600 ARMS, and share the same mechanical design, measuring 1.6-by-1.2-by-1.3 inches with a 0.8-by-0.4 inches aperture for the primary conductor.

The transducers can measure DC, AC and pulse currents, with low power consumption, while providing galvanic isolation between the primary and output circuits. The internal reference voltage of 2.5V is provided on a separate contact (of the Molex 5045-04A connector) or can be forced by an external reference (between 2V and 2.8V) for reference thermal drift cancellation. Gain and offset are fixed and set so, at Ipn, the output voltage is equal to ref in or ref out 0.625V. The transducer has an operating temperature range -40C to 85C.

The devices are currently available.
