1U industrial chassis rolls for half-size SBCs

Adlink Technology Inc. has introduced the RK-136, a 1U rackmount industrial chassis designed for use with half-size industrial cards and providing a 5.25-inch bay for a slim CD-ROM drive, a 3.5-inch bay for a slim FDD and two internal 3.5-inch drive bays.

The cooling system of this chassis incorporates three 4cm ball bearing fans—two at the front and one at the rear—generating a combined ventilation throughout of 21cfm. For added convenience, two LEDs are located on the front panel to indicate disk activity and system power. On the rear panel, there are also two USB 1.1/ 2.0 ports, a PS/2 keyboard connector and three I/O slots.

The RK-136 is designed to work with the Adlink NuPRO-796, a half-size, energy-efficient SBC equipped with an AMD Geode GX 533@1.1W processor. The RK-136 is also compatible with other Adlink motion, vision and DAQ cards for a variety of network security applications.
