10Mpixel image sensor suits industrial imaging

Eastman Kodak Company developed three CCD sensors for markets including industrial and scientific imaging. The KAI-10100 image sensor is a high-resolution color device, while the existing KAF-39000 and KAF-8300 image sensors are available in monochrome versions, making them suitable for panchromatic imaging applications.

The KAI-10100 image sensor is a 10Mpixel, 22.5mm optical diagonal, interline CCD image sensor with sensitivity and dynamic range. The 4.75?m-interlaced pixel architecture provides low noise and electronic shutter capabilities, and hardware color-binning supports scan readout at several sub-sampled resolutions, for improved sensitivity and faster readout rates. The high resolution, low noise and color reproduction of the sensor make it suitable for scientific and surveillance imaging applications.

Joining the KAI-10100 are two devices based on existing products. Both the KAF-39000 and KAF-8300 image sensors are now available as monochrome devices. Retaining the sensitivity, low noise and range of the original color parts, these products provide more options for monochrome imaging applications.
