Receiver handles terrestrial, CS digital broadcasting

Panasonic Electronic Devices Co. Ltd develops a combination unit capable (TTM11J) of receiving terrestrial, BS and 110 CS digital broadcasting. The device features a compact size, low power consumption and high sensitivity.

The device with model number ENA94F**BTF 2 has high sensitivity for receiving the terrestrial digital broadcasting, which contributes to higher picture-quality, said the company. It features a C/N of 19dB, offering 0.5dB improvement compared with Panasonic's current models.

The TTM11J unit features high multiwave interference resistive property when receiving BS or 110 CS digital broadcasting, contributing to higher picture quality of devices.

It offers a BS1/ND24TLIT ratio of-33dB. The unit has a power consumption of 1.8W, which contributes to power savings and longer life of devices.

Applications include digital consumer devices, such as plasma TV sets, LCD TVs, DVD recorders, STBs and PCs.

Sample devices are now available. Pricing starts at $82 for volume quantities.
