Solid state relays deliver high throughput

Avago Technologies expands its solid state relay (MOSFET) family of opto-isolation products. With input drive as low as 2mA and fast switching speeds of less than 0.5ms, Avago's ASSR-301C/302C and ASSR-401C/402C are specifically designed for sensing and multiplexing applications, such as test and measurement and DAQ systems, where low power consumption and high system throughput are essential.

The solid state relays provide low off-state capacitance of less than 15pF for good signal isolation and low on-resistance for less insertion loss. Moreover, it offers a low off-state leakage of less than 10nA, reducing system measurement errors. The products feature a temperature range of -40C to 85C, high transient immunity greater than 1kV/?s and an industry high of 3.75kV in insulation protection in a miniature SO-4 package. Avago's ASSR-301C and ASSR-401C parts are single channel, 1 Form A relays that come in a SO4 package. The ASSR-302C and ASSR-402C are dual channel, 2 Form A relays that come in a standard DIP8 footprint. Complementary to the ASSR-301C, the low on-resistance ASSR-321R, an SO4 version of the previous ASSR-322R, will be available together with this launch.

The ASSR-30xC and 40xC have pending approvals in UL1577, CSA and IEC/EN/DIN EN 60747-5-2 standards.
