Sanyo Denki America Inc. is set to ship out two new models of its compact DC cooling fan that boasts as much as a 20-percent increase in airflow compared to conventional units.

The San Ace 60CR provides the highest airflow and static pressure capabilities in the industrymade possible by two axially aligned fans rotating counterclockwise to each other, Sanyo Denki said. With newly developed blades and frame that improve overall performance, the result is a maximum airflow of 2.26m?/min and static pressure as high as 550Pa. Power consumption is as low as 32.4W with a minimum noise generation of 64dB. L10 life expectancy is 40,000 hours at 60C. The cooling fan is RoHS-compliant.

Optional features include tachometer sensor and lock rotor sensor outputs, as well as pulse-width modulation control.

The company said the new products are suitable for use in servers, storage systems, communications equipment, power supplies and a variety of industrial machinery.

Delivery is slated within the next two months, with pricing pegged at $36 each in small quantities.
