Digi-Key Corp. has agreed to ship Free2move AB wireless electronic components to North America and other regions. The two companies announced the signing of the global distribution agreement last week.

Free2move, based in Halmstad, Sweden, offers self-contained modules with interface options and developer support, with an aim to cut time-to-market, complexity and development risk for its customers.

Free2move's Bluetooth surface mount modules with built-in software for data and audio communication and serial port plug adapter will feature in Digi-Key's print and online catalogs. Both products, including the development tools that come with the modules, will be available for direct purchase.

Digi-Key expects the distribution pact to help fulfill its customer base's needs in both design and production quantity.

"We are very excited to add Free2move to our list of supplier partners," said Mark Larson, Digi-Key's president and COO. "Its innovative products are sure to be of consequential interest and appeal to Digi-Key's customers."

Per-Arne Wiberg, managing director of Free2move AB, added, "We are confident that Free2move's technology portfolio will further solidify Digi-Key's growth, and we are eager to provide excellent support to Digi-Key and its customers."
