60/40-type encoder targets automotive electronics
Keywords:automotive electronics? center space encoder? LEDs?
Along with the improvement in safety and operability in the automotive electronic industry, larger diameter knobs on operational panels and centralized control-systems controlling temperatures in one position have come into wider use. Incremental encoders with large outer-diameter dimensions and a center space of about 40mm in inner diameter that other switches or LEDs are easily mounted are now in demand.
To address this market demand, Panasonic Electronic Devices Co. Ltd has developed the 60/40 type center space encoder, joining its slew of product offerings.
The company delivers the new 60/40-type center space encoder with an outer diameter of 60mm and an inner diameter of 40mm as control devices used for automotive electronics applications.
The device's dimensions adopts the company's original contact shape. It features smooth rotational feeling, offering improvement in operability and just-fitting shaft.
Applications include temperature control of car air conditioners and volume control of car audio systems.
