Cadence aids HHNEC in first 0.18?m EEPROM PDK

Cadence Design Systems Inc. announced that Hua Hong NEC Electronics Co. Ltd (HHNEC) has developed its first 0.18?m process design kit (EEPROM PDK) using Cadence's PDK automation system (PAS).

Aimed at improving analog-mixed signal and RF device performance, the new PDK promises designers increased productivity, lower costs and fewer design iterations. The kit may also be used for high-accuracy analog designs such as Intelligent-Cards.

"With dedicated support from Cadence, HHNEC successfully developed its first 0.18?m EEPROM PDK," said Xiang Yang Li, director of HHNEC's design service department. "Based on the Cadence PDK Automation System, our 0.18?m EEPROM PDK will provide improved performance and productivity, as well as a shorter time to market for AMS and RF designers. By leveraging the Cadence PDK development and test infrastructure, we have climbed the learning curve very quickly and are capable of developing a 0.13?m EFLASH PDK for the Cadence Virtuoso platform design technologies."
