Adlink Technology Inc. releases two new 8-slot 3U PXI chassisthe PXIS-2558T (with 8.4-inch LCD touch panel screen) and the PXIS-2508 (without LCD). These chassis feature one system and seven peripheral slots, smart chassis status monitoring and control as well as 5.89kg rigid construction for both bench-top and portable test and measurement applications.

The embedded chassis management board automatically regulates the speed of two 60 CFM fans based on the internal temperature of the chassis for an extended operating temperature range of -17C to 55C while maintaining a low operating noise level of 41.6dBA at room temperature. Fan speed, chassis temperature and system voltage are continually self-monitored to ensure system stability. These chassis also support remote management from a remote system via a standard RS-232 port connection. Simple software commands can then be used to read chassis status and control on/off power.

The PXIS-2558T provides the same features as the PXIS-2508, but with the addition of an integrated 8.4-inch, 800 x 600 resolution LCD touch panel display for greater convenience in carrying out PXI-based tests at any location.

Both these chassis feature a lightweight rigid mechanical construction composed of an aluminum inner frame and metal outer shell. This feature makes PXIS-2508 and PXIS-2558T well suited for the testing applications requiring high portability.

According to Adlink, combining either of these chassis with any of the variety of PXI system controllers, instrument boards, DAQ modules and I/O boards can create a complete test system for various applications.
