Advansus, a joint venture between Asus and Advantech, has introduced the i915GV2-LEI mini-ITX motherboard, which is based Intel Corp.'s low-power mobile Pentium M processors and 915GV system chipset with low thermal design power.

The i915GV2-LEI is designed to meet a wide range of multimedia-intensive networking applications, and packs in a variety of features, including 2-CH LVDS, 6-CH HD Audio, Dual Gigabit LAN, two COM ports, eight USB ports and one PCI interface.

The motherboard employs the 82915GV GMCH system chip, which integrates the graphics media accelerator (GMA) 900 to provide visual quality, versatile display options and 3D performance. The GMA 900 accelerator supports widescreen LCDs, accelerated DirectX 9 and 3D graphics capabilities.

It also supports Dynamic Video Memory Technology (DVMT) 3.0 with a video memory up to 128Mbytes. One built-in Chrontel CH7308B LVDS transmitter enables an LVDS display up to 24bits with a maximum pixel rate of 165MPPS. An onboard Realtek ALC650 codec chip supports 6-channel high-definition audio features. The system memory is flexible with one 240-pin DIMM socket supporting DDR2 400/533 up to 1Gbyte SDRAM.
