Denali Software Inc. said it has become the exclusive commercial provider of simulation models for memory devices made by Samsung Electronics Company Ltd.

Under the new arrangement, Samsung extends its participation in Denali's Memory Vendor Program. In naming Denali as exclusive provider of its simulation models, Samsung is ensuring faster access to simulated designs for its memory customers.

Samsung estimates that, on average, its customers could shave 6 to 8 weeks off their product development cycles as a result of the new collaboration.

"Our goal is to provide our customers with the best design tools for our many memory solutions, so they can accelerate product development and better differentiate their products in markets ranging from consumer electronics to networking and communications," said Kevin Lee, VP of memory marketing at Samsung Semiconductor Inc.
