Genoa Color Technologies Ltd has filed a patent infringement against Mitsubishi Electric Corp. and Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd as well as the U.S. subsidiaries of both companies.

Subject of the patent suit filed before a U.S. District Court in New York is the Israeli company's ColorPeak Multi-Primary-Color technology. Genoa claims Mitsubishi and Samsung infringed on U.S. Patent No. 7,113,152 entitled "Device System and Method for Electronic True Color Display." Genoa's complaint also asserted that the Samsung defendants breached a non-disclosure agreement.

"Genoa has developed and patented the state-of-the-art ColorPeak Multi-Primary-Color technology for use in TVs, monitors, projectors and other display devices. The company will vigorously protect its intellectual property rights in all its markets," says Ilan Ben-David, CEO of Genoa.
