Rotary DIP switch suits medical, security equipment

Omron Electronic Components LLC has released its A6RS series of gull-winged terminal surface-mount rotary DIP switches for static function-select settings on control boards. They can be used in HVAC, medical and security equipment.

The A6RS DIP switch offers a contact rating of 25mA at 24Vdc with initial contact resistance of 200mΩs maximum. It operates in an ambient operating temperature range of -25°C to 80°C.

These top-actuated switches are available with flat or extended shafts, 10-position (decimal) or 16-position (hexadecimal) outputs and terminal arrangements of 4 x 1 and 3 x 3. They all have highly visible legends with an arrow on the actuator to aid in proper code setting.

The RoHS-compliant switches are designed to withstand peak reflow temperatures of 260°C. The switches can be supplied in tubes or on tape-and-reel.

Pricing for the A6RS-101RF-P 10 position top-actuated flat actuator in a 4 x 1 terminal arrangement is $1.69 each for a 750-piece reel. MSRP for the A6RS-161RS-P 16 position top-actuated extended shaft in a 4 x 1 terminal arrangement is $2.51 each for a 250-piece reel. Delivery is stock to eight weeks.
