Anritsu Co. has introduced three options for its MT8820B/MT8815B radio communication analyzers that allow for testing of TD-SCDMA 3G mobile terminals. These include the MT8820B-007/MT8815B-007 TD-SCDMA measurement hardware, MX882007C TD-SCDMA measurement software and MX882007C-001 TD-SCDMA voice codec options for performing call-processing, RF Rx/Tx, and voice tests of TD-SCDMA mobile terminals.

The MT8820B/MT8815B platform provides basic TD-SCDMA functions built-in, and incorporates TD-SCDMA/GSM dual-mode test functions. The MT8820B also has a unique Parallelphone measurement function that supports simultaneous testing of two mobile units, making the analyzer the suitable for mass production of TD-SCDMA/GSM dual-mode mobile phones.

In addition to conducting TD-SCDMA measurements, the MT8820B/MT8815B analyzers verify performance of mobile terminals using other technologies. Covering a frequency range of 30MHz to 2.7GHz, a single MT8820B can measure the major Tx and Rx characteristics of W-CDMA/HSDPA, GSM/GPRS/EGPRS, cdma2000 1X (IS-2000), CDMA2000 1xEV-DO, and PHS/ADVANCED PHS terminals. It provides dual independent RF, AF, GPIB and Ethernet connectors that can be controlled separately.

The MT8815B is a multi-system service test platform that covers W-CDMA, GSM/GPRS/EGPRS, cdma2000 1x/1xEV-DO, and AMPS. This platform supports detailed failure diagnosis and evaluation for all the major mobile phone transmission/reception test items.

Pricing starts at $13,378 for the MT8815B-001, $15,050 for the MT8820B-001, $14,215 for the MT8815B-007, $15,887 for the MT8820B-007 and $8,362 for the MX882007C.
