Keywords:Pb-free JTAG emulators? in-target probes? debugger?

American Arium has introduced three Pb-free JTAG emulators: the ECM-XDP, ECM-HDT and ECM-700. The in-target probes (ITPs) were developed to comply with the EU's RoHS directive.

Designed to support the next generation of processors from Intel and AMD, the hardware is coupled with the latest version of the company's flagship debugger, Arium's SourcePoint 7.5. The ECM-HDT replaces the ECM-50/PBD-AJ. Developed specifically for HDT debug ports, the ITP supports BIOS, device drivers, OS kernels and embedded applications debug. The unit supports AMD 64 processors. In addition, customers will no longer need to purchase a probe.

The ECM-700 with the PBD-700E replaces the ECM-50, the PBDS-700 or PBDS-700M. Developed for targets with ITP-700 debug ports, this unit supports Intel laptop, desktop and server processors. The ECM-XDP, already on the market, supports Intel XDP-based targets.

ECM-XXX JTAG emulator and SourcePoint debug solutions deliver run control, and depending on architecture, execution trace. SourcePoint operates in real time with all core frequencies and works with today's most popular compiler tools including Intel Unified Extensible Firmware Interface. It supports industry-standard input file formats and includes a robust C-like command language.
